Confronting Memories at the European Innovation Days in History Education

On 10 March 2023, Confronting Memories project manager Marcus Chavasse and ambassador Iryna Kashtalian presented the Confronting Memories programme at the European Innovation Days in History Education, a 3-day conference for history educators and educational experts in Brussels.

At the House of European History, we presented the history of the project as well as the new Pedagogical guide (available here on our website), and specifically an excerpt of the learning activity on memorials to the Katyn massacre.

Confronting Memories is also featured on HISTOLAB’s ‘Digital Hub‘: a database for experts and organisations in the field of history education where you can find potential partners for your projects

HISTOLAB is a joint initiative by the European Union and Council of Europe. It seeks to reinvigorate the field of history education by bringing together innovative ideas on how to improve the teaching of history.
