Measuring Prejudice: The Allport Scale
Prejudice and violence against people of a different ethnicity, religion or gender based on whatever stereotypes can exist anywhere. It can manifest in different ways and is not confined to a certain historical moment or place. With the help of the Allport scale developed by psychologist Gordon Allport, this short animation shows how prejudice can be measured and how activity on one level can make transition to another more intense level easier. 'Measuring Prejudice: The Allport Scale' can be used as an education material in history classes and learning activities by history teachers and educators combined with a follow up discussion and reflection among students.
