The first webinar of 2022 took place on 7 April. After a round of introductions and expectations for the project, the experts from Moldova, Poland and Russia presented the results of their homework: choosing 4 memorial sites each from their countries. A discussion followed and 2 memorial sites were chosen from each country, which will form the basis of the exemplary learning activities to be presented in the methodological guide.

It was important that we selected a broad range of memorial sites, so we can cover as much methodological ground as possible. The sites chosen include war memorials, a monument to ghetto victims, a concentration camp, and an ‘everyday’ memorial in the form of Stolpersteine. On the basis of these sites, the experts will prepare learning activities which will be discussed in the next online meeting.
