Reflection workshop in Chișinău, Moldova: collecting our thoughts and identifying a path forward

From 28 July until 30 July, Confronting Memories held its reflection workshop in Chișinău, Moldova, to bring select ambassadors from Armenia, Moldova and Georgia together to discuss the major takeaways from the 2024-2025 capacity development programme.

The difficulties present in their work and in the integration of the Confronting Memories methodology were investigated, and the general insights from their work were collected. Ambassadors were also provided the chance to present their own methods and approaches developed over the course of the programme: how was it they were able to incorporate multiperspectivity in their work beyond the Confronting Memories materials, and how were these methods useful in the classroom as a complement to our programme?

Following the workshop, ambassadors were invited by the host partner, ANTIM (National Association of Young Historians of Moldova) to the Tatar Bath Ruins for a short excursion after the workshop, where participants learned more about local medieval history.
